Aberdeen Cheerleaders was established in 1998 with a senior squad only. 'Redz & Co' were a group of girls who were chosen through audition from throughout Aberdeen and the surrounding areas and were formed in order to provide entertainment at Aberdeen Football Club on a match day. The girl’s popularity soon soared and within 1 year of forming, they were crowned Scottish Senior Dance Champions at the first ever Scottish Cheerleading Championships held in Dundee in 1999.

Two more teams of younger girls were soon to follow for competitions. Our youth team 'Granite City Gremlins' and our junior team 'Northern Lights' were to quickly follow in the footsteps of our senior girls by achieving great results both at Scottish and European level.

General level classes were added to our timetable in 2000 for girls who simply wanted to take part in a fun class learning all the skills and aspects of Cheerleading rather than actually having the pressures of competition, however many girls who have started off at this level have gone on to be part of our competition squads.

2005 saw the introduction of our youngest squad 'Bon Accord Babes' who compete at under 9 level. As well as being in the top 10 at every competition that they have competed in, Aberdeen Cheerleaders have many titles to their name;
